Exodus is the second book in the Old Testament. In the book of Exodus we see how God delivered his people from being slaves in Egypt by means of His servant Moses and how they left Egypt. On the way, God called Moses up on Mount Sinai and wrote his commandments on two stone tablets, which he gave to Moses. God also gave more rules for the people to live by and ordered them to build a tent so that His glory would follow them. The Israelites made this tent, called the Tabernacle along with altars for offerings and the glory of God came down into the Tabernacle in the form of a cloud. The book ends with the account of how the Tabernacle was filled with the glory of God.
